CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT


UK doesn’t operate a citizenship-by-investment program. Investors who receive admission to the UK under the Tier 1 Investor Visa program, however, can qualify for citizenship after a minimum of five years of residency, without making any additional investments. In addition to five years of UK residency, investors must have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), the British equivalent of permanent residency, at least 12 months before applying for citizenship.
